Ping measures the roundtrip time of a packet, while traceroute unveils the route or hops packets take by exposing the IP addresses of different routers worldwide. When comparing results from these commands across different websites, I observed unique paths to each destination. Ping indicated roundtrip times, reflecting the connection speed, while traceroute highlighted the intricate network nodes and routers involved in the journey.
